When it comes time to hand over keys to Kenmore Team Property Management, there are a few things that we find highly valuable in speeding up the process to successfully place new tenants in your property. When moving and getting your home ready for tenants, making sure all personal property is out of the home is a great first step in preparing your property to be rented. This includes brooms, plants, towels, outside décor, landscaping items, yard equipment, and anything that has been collected over the years. Making sure your yard is cleaned up and looking presentable is key to making a good first impression and will be the expectation from the new tenant to maintain it moving forward. If there are any nail/mounting holes left over from vacating the property, having those items patched and painted will speed up the process as well, including any other wall wear and tear.
Next, having your property professionally cleaned, and carpets shampooed are items that we manage in between tenancies, but to start out on the right foot and to find the tenant that you want, having these items taken care of prior to handing over keys will also speed up the process of placing the first set of tenants. It is highly recommended to use our vendors for cleaning since they know our standards, which will also be the standard we uphold tenants to upon move out. Lastly, when communicating with Kenmore Team Property Management providing information such as where the water shutoff valve is, mailbox location, or any other common or oddball information will best equip our team to tackle any situations presented to us.
